University of North Dakota
Delta Xi Alumni
Brothers;
The alumni chapter is an important part of Delta Xi but we strive to be more than money at scholarship time: giving back does not have to mean writing a check.
The alumni chapter is looking for alumni to be involved in providing career mentoring for active members soon to enter the job market. Actives just starting out in college are also looking to set themselves apart now through university involvement to make them better prepared for when they reach graduation. You can be an invaluable part of that by sharing what didn’t and did help you embark on your career.
Beyond job mentoring, chapter members are always looking for new ideas for fundraisers, brotherhood, social events and community involvement. Sharing leadership successes and failures from your time in the house is an invaluable way to perpetuate Fraternity by making old experiences new again for another generation of Delta Tau members.
Participation at alumni meetings each semester can help keep the quality stewardship of the chapter going strong. The discussions and long term challenges are a unique extension of the active experience: it is crucial we continue to get new faces into the mix of “regulars”. Even if your attendance is occasional semester to semester, year to year; or is indirect by talking with officers and attendees outside of the meetings, your participation is welcomed and valued.
The alumni chapter is actively looking to overcome the challenge of Grand Fork’s physical remoteness to better foster alumni participation. With a little creativity and the help of technology, the alumni chapter is adjusting to allow better remote participation so presence is not required in order to be involved.
Don’t let location or schedule be the reason you feel you can’t participate.
Continuity is a key part of leadership and having your involvement with the active chapter is crucial to keeping Delta Tau Delta the best fraternity at the University of North Dakota.
We look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
